About This

WHAT YOU WILL RECEIVE: You will receive a live Black Pepper Vine, scientifically known as Piper nigrum. The plant features green foliage and a climbing growth habit. Plant height, stem length, leaf count, and overall form may vary according to the current growth stage.
GLOSSY GREEN FOLIAGE: Black Pepper Vine develops attractive ovate leaves with a deep green upper surface and a smooth, glossy appearance. The foliage gives this tropical vine a distinctive look for indoor and outdoor plant collections.
CLIMBING VINE GROWTH: Piper nigrum is a perennial woody climber that naturally uses short roots at its nodes to attach to nearby supports. A trellis, frame, pole, or similar structure can guide its climbing growth.
PEPPERCORN PLANT: Mature Black Pepper Vine can produce slender flower spikes followed by small round fruits. The fruits develop from green and become red as they mature; appropriately processed immature fruit is the source of black peppercorns.
TROPICAL & CONTAINER FRIENDLY: Black Pepper Vine prefers warm growing conditions, bright indirect light or partial shade, moderate moisture, and well-drained soil. It can be grown in containers and trained along a trellis or other suitable support.
