About This

• Black Bamboo Seeds for Planting: Grow Phyllostachys nigra from ornamental bamboo seeds for graceful evergreen foliage and canes that can darken toward distinctive brown black to black coloration as they mature. These bamboo seeds are suited to Asian inspired gardens, containers and screening projects
• Phyllostachys Nigra Bamboo Seeds: Black Bamboo is prized for the dramatic contrast between its slender dark mature culms and fresh green leaves. New canes generally emerge green and gradually develop darker coloration rather than emerging completely black from the ground
• Dramatic Dark Mature Canes: Established plants create tall vertical structure with dense narrow foliage and distinctive mature culms. Cane coloration varies with age and growing conditions, providing an unusual architectural feature for ornamental garden designs
• Running Bamboo Growth Habit: Phyllostachys nigra is a running bamboo capable of spreading through underground rhizomes where conditions are favorable. Use appropriate containment methods or large containers and check local recommendations before planting permanently in the landscape
• Warm Moist Germination Conditions: Sow in moist well drained growing media and maintain warmth and humidity while seeds germinate. Give established plants abundant light, regular moisture and adequate root space, while managing rhizome spread as plants mature | 222 Seeds
