About This

• ROBUST GROWTH & MATURITY: Our Grazer Orchard Grass Blend combines two varieties to ensure steady growth and extended forage availability throughout the season for orchard grass seed for hay, grazing, and silage
• ADAPTABLE & RESILIENT: Tailored for USDA Zones with moderate rainfall and mild winters, our orchard grass flourishes in temperate climates. With remarkable drought and shade tolerance, it is a suitable choice as winter pasture seed or lawn seed grass, thriving in areas with at least 18 inches of perennial rainfall while supporting versatile planting needs
• HIGH YIELD & NUTRITIONAL VALUE: Delivering an impressive 15-20 tons of dry matter per acre perennially, our orchard grass offers excellent nutritional content and high digestibility for chicken feed, goat food, or incorporation into a fodder system, supporting robust livestock health while optimizing forage efficiency and productivity
• DURABLE & RESILIENT: With remarkable winter hardiness and strong plant sickness resistance, our orchard grass endures heavy grazing and trampling without compromising growth, establishing long-lasting pastures and pairs seamlessly with lawn grass seed applications and supports pasture-raised chicken systems, ensuring resilient performance
• OPTIMAL PLANTING & SOIL COMPATIBILITY: Our orchard grass germinates in just 6-10 days under warm, moist conditions. For optimal results, plant at 20-25 lbs per acre in spring or fall and provide medium to high nitrogen inputs to encourage robust growth for pasture chicken systems or enhancing grass seeds for lawn projects
• HEAT TOLERANCE COMPARISON: This orchard grass blend demonstrates superior heat tolerance compared to timothy hay grass while being less heat tolerant than tall fescue, making it well-suited for temperate climates with moderate seasonal temperature variations and diverse agricultural applications
