About This

• Grow fresh cilantro leaves for salsa, salads and everyday cooking in a home herb garden.
• Cilantro and coriander refer to the same herb; leaves and mature seeds have different kitchen uses.
• Grow cilantro from a 1000-seed selection for a planned home gardening project.
• Choose mild growing weather and well-drained soil, keeping the seedbed evenly moist.
• Divide the seed supply among smaller sowings to stagger growth; hot conditions can encourage bolting.
