About This

Recognized for its tall, arching form and softly glaucous fruit, this variety features long, smooth leaves that create a dramatic visual effect. Its pseudostems stack in subtle rings, contributing to its elegant profile. The plant’s foliage displays a blend of green hues with blue undertones, adding dimensional color that enhances its ornamental value in both indoor and outdoor displays.
This variety performs best in bright, direct light that allows its broad foliage to develop full color and strong structure. Consistent sun exposure supports steady growth and helps the tree maintain its upright form. Positioning it where it receives reliable, extended daylight ensures the canopy develops evenly and the plant retains its striking appearance throughout the season.
Maintain evenly distributed moisture in the soil, allowing it to lightly dry between waterings without remaining saturated. Consistency encourages firm pseudostem development and supports new leaf production. Deep watering sessions are preferable to frequent shallow watering, as this promotes stronger root establishment and helps the tree maintain its characteristic foliar size and shape.
A loose, well-draining soil composition is ideal, helping the roots anchor securely while preventing prolonged wetness at the base. Materials that enhance airflow and structure can be beneficial for supporting upright posture and broad leaf expansion. Ensuring adequate drainage reduces stress on the plant and allows its growth patterns to remain uniform and consistent over time.
This tree grows at a steady rate, forming new pups and expanding its clump over time. Pruning older leaves encourages fresh development and maintains a neat profile. Removing spent growth allows emerging foliage to remain unobstructed and helps the plant keep a clean, sculpted appearance. Regular attention to shape and spacing ensures long-term structure and balance.
