Eleanor Taber Indian Hawthorn is a flowering evergreen shrub that is prized for its attractive glossy dark green foliage and clusters of fragrant pink flowers in the spring. It will develop dark ornamental berries in the winter.
This hawthorn cultivar typically grows as a compact, dense, mounded shrub. It reaches a height of around 3 to 4 feet and as wide, making it suitable for smaller spaces or as a low hedge, specimen plant, borders, mass plantings, privacy screens, or act as a windbreak.
It grows in USDA zones 7 to 10 and prefers full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Resistant to wind and salt-spray, making it a great choice for coastal or seashore landscaping.
Botanical Name and other Common Names: Rhaphiolepsis Indica 'Conor' PP9398, Eleanor Taber Indian Hawthorn, Indian Hawthorn Eleanor Tabor.
