About This

Bloomsdale Seeds for Planting - One packet of 500 spinach seeds grows thick, dark-green leaves with the deeply crinkled savoy texture this classic variety is known for.
500-Seed Yield Range - At a 20-70% productive-plant range and 0.1 lb average per plant, 500 seeds could yield about 10-35 LBS in good conditions; actual harvest varies with germination, weather, spacing, timing, and care.
Plan a Cool-Season Crop - Direct sow 1/2 inch deep for spring or fall growing. Aim for a 65-75 F seed zone, keep evenly moist, and expect sprouts in about 7-14 days; hot or dry soil can reduce success.
Grow and Harvest Tender Leaves - Thin to about 6 inches in full sun. Start picking young outer leaves as they become usable; the crop typically matures in 40-48 days. Harvest before flowering and prolonged heat.
One Packet, Future Plantings - 500 heirloom, open-pollinated, non-GMO, USA-grown Bloomsdale spinach seeds in a waterproof RDR Seeds packet with growing guidance, dated for the current or next planting season. Store cool, dry and tightly sealed. Spinach seed generally remains viable for about 3-5 years under good storage conditions; germination declines with age.
