About This

✅ One Buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis), 1-2 years old and 12-24 inches tall. This native deciduous shrub thrives in zones 5-9, reaching 12 feet tall with a 4-6 foot spread. Known for its unique spherical white flowers that attract pollinators, it performs exceptionally well in wet soils and flood conditions.
✅ This adaptable plant grows easily in moist, humus-rich soils in full sun to partial shade. During dormancy, plants are sent bare-root with roots protected in moist material. From April forward, they arrive in containers with soil. Its low-maintenance nature requires little pruning.
✅ Buttonbush is ideal for rain gardens, pond edges, and other moist landscapes where its distinctive flowers provide summer interest and ecological value. Plants are carefully packaged in boxes with tracking for all domestic orders.
