About This

✅ Available now is a Northern Catalpa (Catalpa speciosa), also known as Cigar Tree or Bean Tree. This unique 2-3 year old plant has been pruned to create a stubby bonsai starter, standing 2-3 inches tall. You will receive a plant similar to the one shown in the photographs, carefully prepared for its bonsai development journey.
✅ This hardy tree is known for its large, heart-shaped leaves and showy white flowers that appear in early summer, followed by distinctive long, slender seed pods. The catalpa grows well in full sun to partial shade and adapts to various soil conditions. It is winter-hardy across much of the United States.
✅ During winter months, the plant will be sent with its roots protected in moist material. In warmer seasons, it may be sent in a container with soil. To ensure safe travel, the plant may be trimmed to fit within a 24-inch box.
✅ Orders are sent via Ground Mail with tracking. We are happy to combine orders for multiple plants upon request. International customers should contact us before purchasing to confirm availability for their location.
